Blackvolt digital on Thursday announced the official launch of India’s first crowdsourced equity research platform – StocX.in.
According to the company, StocX.in provides investors with high-quality independent research powered by actionable data, investment tools such as a filter, watchlist, portfolio, market news and crowdsourced research.
“Our research is created by passionate investors, for investors. We believe that in-depth information can also be provided by experienced professionals, not just brokers or banking companies. All research is subjected to rigorous quality checks by internal editors, then read and discussed by millions of people,” said Ishita Aggarwal, director of the company.
StocX.in claims that there are more than 4,000 companies traded every day in the Indian stock market, while research is only available for the top 100-200 companies. StocX.in helps retail investors access these hidden gems that are not covered by major brokerages by providing this platform, the press release says.
“There are thousands of passionate and qualified people who have unique and valuable insights into the variety of stocks not covered by typical search houses. This unique platform gives these people the opportunity to share their insights and their analytics,” said Ajay Chandak, analyst at StocX.in.
The platform has already collected research from independent researchers and passionate investors. The company also intends to host investment events to help expand its reach and facilitate investing for retail investors. The platform claims to have over 1000 users in the past 3 days and over 15 contributors/authors on board, according to the press release.
